Description
The Optoma ZU1700 is part of Optoma's Ultra Bright Series, a 17,000-lumen WUXGA (1920x1200) DuraCore laser projector built for the most demanding high-end installations - entertainment venues, exhibitions and digital signage deployments. It offers pure engine video processing and colour matching, a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a built-in redundancy (failsafe) mode that provides instant source switching for mission-critical installations such as control rooms and live events. As with Optoma's other Ultra Bright Series units, the ZU1700 is sold as a body-only projector: screen size and throw distance are listed as "dependent on lens" in Optoma's own specification, and the unit ships without a lens fitted. Eight interchangeable lens options (BX-CTA11, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 27) are available separately, covering throw ratios from 0.65:1 to 10.8:1, to be selected and purchased according to the venue's throw distance. With 30,000-hour laser life, IP5X dust resistance, full 3D support, and 24/7 and 360-degree operating capability, the ZU1700 is designed for permanent fixed installations. Connectivity includes DisplayPort, dual HDMI, DVI-D, HDBaseT, 3G-SDI and RS232, positioning it for professional integration work where a lens is specified and purchased to match the exact throw requirement.
