Description
The BenQ GV50 is a compact laser lifestyle projector designed to live on a nightstand rather than a rack. Up to 135 degrees of vertical adjustment and 360-degree screen rotation let it switch instantly between wall and ceiling projection, so a 120-inch Full HD picture can appear directly above the bed without taking up any extra floor or table space. A long-life laser light source delivers 500 ANSI lumens with BenQ's CinematicColor technology and support for HDR10 and HLG content, while a built-in 2.1-channel 18W speaker system with dedicated bass handles audio without external speakers. Google TV is built in, giving direct access to major streaming apps out of the box. A Night Shift mode reduces eye strain for late viewing, a sleep timer switches the unit off automatically, and a USB-C port adds flexible power and connectivity options, making the GV50 a self-contained bedroom or casual living space projector.

Frequently asked questions
How bright is the BenQ GV50 and what's it designed for?
It puts out 500 ANSI lumens from a laser light source - this is a compact lifestyle projector designed to live on a nightstand for bedroom or casual living space viewing, rather than a business or classroom projector.
How far from the screen does the GV50 sit?
Its throw ratio is a fixed 1.2:1 (no zoom). For a 100" 16:9 image (about 2.21m wide), that works out to roughly 2.65m back from the screen.
How does the GV50 handle wall vs ceiling projection?
Up to 135° of vertical tilt combined with 360° screen rotation let it switch instantly between wall and ceiling projection - for example, a 120-inch Full HD picture can appear directly above a bed without extra floor or table space.
How long does the laser light source last?
Up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode.
Does the GV50 have built-in streaming apps?
Yes - it has Google TV built in, giving direct access to major streaming apps like Netflix and Prime Video without needing extra hardware.
What warranty comes with the BenQ GV50?
It's covered by a 36-month (3-year) warranty.
