Description
The BenQ W2700 is a colour-focused 4K UHD home theatre projector aimed at dedicated cinema rooms. It uses 0.47-inch single-DMD DLP technology to resolve the full 8.3 million pixels of a 4K image, with BenQ CinematicColor delivering 100% Rec.709 and 95% DCI-P3 coverage for accurate, cinema-grade colour reproduction. HDR-Pro technology combines with a 30,000:1 contrast ratio to bring out shadow detail and highlight range in HDR10 and HLG content, while a 1.3x zoom and 10% vertical lens shift give more flexibility over projector placement than fixed-throw alternatives. A throw ratio of 1.13~1.47 allows a 100-inch image from around 2.5 metres. Dedicated ISF Day and ISF Night calibrated picture modes cater to home theatre enthusiasts, and dual HDMI 2.0b inputs, 3D support and a 5W stereo speaker setup make the W2700 a well-rounded choice for a purpose-built screening room.

Frequently asked questions
How bright is the W2700 and what room suits it?
It's rated at 2,000 lumens, positioning it as a dedicated home theatre projector for cinema rooms where some control over ambient light is possible, rather than a bright-room projector.
How far from the screen does the W2700 need to be?
With a 1.13-1.47 throw ratio and 1.3x zoom, for a 100-inch 16:9 screen it sits roughly 2.50m to 3.25m back, with lens shift (vertical +10%) available to fine-tune image position.
How accurate is the colour, and does it support HDR?
BenQ CinematicColor delivers 100% Rec.709 and 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage for cinema-grade accuracy, with ISF Calibrated Modes and HDR-Pro processing supporting HDR10 and HLG sources, backed by a 30,000:1 contrast ratio.
How long does the lamp last?
The lamp is rated for up to 15,000 hours in SmartEco mode, helping keep running costs down between replacements.
What connectivity and audio does it have?
It has 2x HDMI 2.0b inputs and a built-in 2x5W speaker chamber for standalone use without external audio.
What warranty and delivery apply?
The W2700 comes with a 3-year (36-month) warranty. Stock is currently low at TopAV, and in-stock orders dispatch within 2 working days, with free UK delivery on orders over £100 (£9.95 below that).
