Description

The Sony VPL-XW5000ES is the entry point into Sony's native 4K SXRD laser home cinema range, combining an all-new 0.61-inch 4K SXRD panel with Wide Dynamic Range Optics in one of the most compact chassis in its class. A laser phosphor light source delivers up to 2,000 lumens of brightness with a claimed 20,000-hour operating life and no lamp replacements, while Sony's flagship X1 Ultimate for projector processor brings Object-based HDR Remaster, Dynamic HDR Enhancer and Object-based Super Resolution across from Sony's BRAVIA TV line. Colour reproduction covers 95% of the DCI-P3 cinema colour space via TRILUMINOS PRO, and the projector is IMAX Enhanced certified. Connectivity is aimed squarely at dedicated home cinema installs, with 2x HDMI (HDCP 2.3) inputs, 4K 60Hz input with under 21ms input lag (13ms at 1080p/120Hz for gaming), RS-232C and LAN control, and certified compatibility with Control4, Crestron, Savant and AMX automation systems. Manual focus and 1.6x manual zoom (throw ratio 1.38:1-2.21:1) keep the price down versus the step-up BRAVIA Projector 7/8/9 models, which add motorised optics. Supplied accessories include the RM-PJ28 remote, AC power cord and lens cap.
