Description
The Panasonic PT-RQ50K is Panasonic's flagship large-venue projector, a native 4K (4096 x 2160) 3-Chip DLP laser system rated at 50,000 lm (51,000 lm centre) and capable of images up to 1,500 inches diagonal - designed for stadiums, arenas, planetariums, cinema and permanent large-format installations where a single projector needs to cover an exceptionally large or bright screen without stacking or blending multiple lower-output units. Like the rest of Panasonic's large-venue range, the PT-RQ50K is sold as a body only, with no lens included; it is designed around a dedicated lineup of seven optional lenses covering throw ratios from 0.55:1 to 7.76:1, all supporting powered zoom, lens shift, lens memory and lens ID for straightforward calibration and lens-swapping across installations. A multi-laser array light source rated to approximately 20,000 hours, hermetically sealed optics and liquid cooling support continuous, filter-free operation, while dual RS-232C, 12G-SDI, DIGITAL LINK/HDBaseT and dual redundant light source failover circuitry are aimed squarely at mission-critical, always-on installations. At approximately 126 kg body weight and up to 4,100W power draw, this is a rigger- and structural-engineer-specified installation rather than a plug-and-play unit.
