Description
The Sony VPL-XW7000ES steps up brightness to 3,200 lumens from a native 4K SXRD panel, aimed at larger screens and brighter rooms while remaining compact (around 20% smaller by volume and 30% lighter than the outgoing VPL-VW790ES). It uses Sony's Advanced Crisp-Focused (ACF) lens with a 70mm aspherical front element and floating focus system for corner-to-corner sharpness, driven by powered focus and a 2.1x powered zoom (throw ratio 1.35:1-2.84:1). Picture processing comes from the flagship X1 Ultimate for projector chip with Object-based HDR Remaster, Dynamic HDR Enhancer, Object-based Super Resolution and Dual Database Processing, plus newly developed Live Color Enhancer for saturation-safe HDR colour. Wide powered lens shift (+/-85% vertical, +/-36% horizontal) and five Picture Position memories simplify installation across different screen formats. This black-chassis version pairs the same optical and processing package with a understated finish for darker dedicated cinema rooms. The laser phosphor light source is rated for up to 20,000 hours, and the projector is IMAX Enhanced certified and compatible with Control4, Crestron, Savant and AMX automation systems.
